Jaxson Shoulders Jaxson Shoulders 6'2" | 215 lbs | ATH Hart County | 2024 State KY is another player that has been high on my radar for a while now and has continued to impress this season. Despite his team’s close loss to Bell County, Shoulders put together another strong performance. Jaxson lined up at inside linebacker where he was very impressive against the run, showing the ability to read his keys and get to the ball carrier in a hurry. He played with a high motor, showing the ability to run sideline to sideline to make tackles in the open field. Shoulders finished the game with  a team-leading 16 tackles along with 1.5 tackles for loss. Jaxson currently holds an offer from Westfield State and I expect more to come his way as he has received a good amount of college interest and definitely has the talent to play at the next level.

Jaxson Shoulders Jaxson Shoulders 6'2" | 215 lbs | ATH Hart County | 2024 State KY is another linebacker that has been high on my radar for a while now that continued to stand out this season. Shoulders lined up at inside linebacker where he was very impressive against the run. He showed the ability to read his keys and flow to the ball quickly to make tackles. Shoulders finished the regular season with 119 tackles and four tackles for loss. He also showed the ability to make plays against the pass both in coverage and as a rusher, finishing the season with one interception and a sack. Shoulders currently holds an offer from Westfield State and has received interest from several other programs, and I expect him to make a true impact wherever he decides to play at the next level.

He played a huge role in Hart County’s win over Glasgow. Shoulders lined up at inside linebacker where he did a great job against the run, showing the ability to read his keys and flow to the ball quickly to make tackles. He finished the game with 21 tackles. Shoulders also showed the ability to drop into coverage and make plays against the pass, coming away with one interception. Jaxson currently holds an offer from Westfield State and I expect more to come his way as he has the talent to play at the next level.

Shoulders played a big role in the Raiders’ win over Green County, finishing with 16 tackles, one tackle for loss, and a sack. Jaxson lined up at linebacker where he did a great job of reading his keys and flowing to the ball in a hurry against the run. Once Shoulders got to the ball carrier, he did a great job of exploding through contact to not allow for any extra yards and finished his tackles with a ton of physicality. Jaxson doesn’t currently hold any offers but I expect some to come his way soon as he has received some college interest and definitely has the talent to play at the next level.

A linebacker that has caught my attention multiple times this season is junior Jaxson Shoulders Jaxson Shoulders 6'2" | 215 lbs | ATH Hart County | 2024 State KY from Hart County. Shoulders finished the regular season second in 3A with 128 total tackles along with ten tackles for loss, one sack, and two interceptions. He does a great job of reading his keys and flowing to the ball, no matter where the play is going. Against the run, he does a great job of coming downhill and filling his gap in a hurry. Once he meets the ball carrier, he runs his feet through contact and doesn’t allow extra yards to be gained. He also shows great ability in coverage, reading route combinations and putting himself in a great position to make plays on the ball. Shoulders also made an impact on offense, finishing as the team’s leading receiver but I believe he has looked his best on defense. Jaxson doesn’t currently hold any offers but I expect him to pick some up going into his final season as he has the talent to play somewhere at the next level.

The second Jaxson on my list is a player that I have become more familiar with. Junior linebacker Jaxson Shoulders Jaxson Shoulders 6'2" | 215 lbs | ATH Hart County | 2024 State KY continued an impressive season this past week, finishing the game with 13 tackles, two tackles for loss, one sack, and an interception against Grayson County. He did a great job of reading his keys and flowing to the ball to put himself in a position to make a play. Against the run, he was able to shoot his gap quickly before offensive linemen could react and did a great job of exploding through contact once he got to the ball. He also showed the ability to read the quarterback when dropping into coverage to put himself in a position to make a play on the ball. Jaxson doesn’t currently hold any offers but has been receiving some college interest and has the ability to play linebacker at the next level.

For the second time this season, Jaxson Shoulders Jaxson Shoulders 6'2" | 215 lbs | ATH Hart County | 2024 State KY cracks my top performers list. Shoulders continued to make a big impact on defense at linebacker, finishing the game with 15 tackles, one tackle for loss, and a forced fumble. He showed a great ability to read his keys and take good angles to get to the ball. Once he got to the ball carrier, Shoulders showed that he is a very good open field tackler. Shoulders also made a huge impact on offense as a tight end, catching four passes for 125 yards and two touchdowns. He showed great route running ability, creating separation in the breaks in his routes. Shoulders was also able to catch the ball at its highest point in tight coverage. After the catch, Shoulders showed the speed to turn up the field and pick up extra yards. Jaxson doesn’t currently hold any offers but he is a player to watch over the next two seasons as he has the skill set to play multiple positions at the next level.

The junior linebacker played a key role in the Hart County defense, finishing with 18 tackles, three tackles for loss, and one interception. Shoulders does a great job of reading his keys and shoots out of his stance like a cannon through his gap. He keeps his feet running once he gets to the ball carrier and explodes through contact with a ton of physicality. Shoulders also shows great route recognition ability in coverage and reacts well with great ball skills to come away with interceptions. Jaxson also made an impact on offense at running back with one touchdown and multiple long runs. While he doesn’t hold any offers at the moment, he is a player to watch as he has the skill set to be a very good linebacker at the next level.
