I love the display of violent running that Jax plays with for Waterford. Jax brings a larger than usual frame for the RB position at 6’2″ 205 lbs. That long frame does give him a taller running stance, but Jax is so good at dropping his pad level to use his power to run through a defender’s chest. Even when he doesn’t drop his pads, Jax has clip after clip showing how he runs through arm tackles unbothered and without losing speed. Jax also has clips of him breaking tackles in the middle of jukes and jump cuts too. He is so strong, to a point where he also plays some DE/OLB for Waterford too. Don’t miss out on this physical tone setter.

Jax put forth a great effort despite the defeat. He ran hard, created big plays that kept the Wolverines in the game early on, and displayed his array of talent while doing so. Jax is a bigger back, and he did a good job of creating yards after contact and falling forward to end plays. Jax also did well playing with vision. He found cut back lanes or openings to get to the outside and into space. His TD came on a play where he got to show off his second gear out in space too as he easily pulled away from the defense for a 66 yard score. The cherry on top is that the junior is also a natural at catching the ball out of the backfield. The junior is a three down back and one that teams need to get on campus this offseason for tours, game days, and camps.

Physical runner, big frame that packs a punch. Has the speed to break off big runs when he gets into the open field. One cut runner that takes what is there and can create yards after contact.

. The bigger RB1 displayed his full array of talents and tools in his 200+ yard night. Jax is a long strider running with the ball in his hands, yet he demonstrates an effective jump cut in traffic to help him win in traffic. The bread and butter for the nearly 200 lbs back is his power and contact balance, though. You see him lower the shoulder on defenders, stiff arm, and simply run through arm tackles over and over in his Week 2 highlights. Every time we check in with Jax he is looking better and better and the numbers are getting bigger too. The 2027 RB is really coming into his own early this season.

Jax has taken part in a couple showcases/combines to start the summer and crushed both appearances. It is getting me more and more excited to watch him run behind the OL that Waterford is returning in 2025. Pesch checks so many boxes for the RB position. First off he has a great frame at 6’1″ 192 lbs with nearly 6’4″ of wingspan. The game breaking speed is there with a 4.66 40 yard dash, and the big back is surprisingly elusive and nimble demonstrated by his 4.35 shuttle, 9’3″ broad, and 6.91 L-Drill. Between his size, strength, and athleticism, the sophomore RB is heading in the direction of being a dominant three down back. Keep a close eye on this kid.

A lot of things are falling into place for a breakout season from the Waterford RB1. First, the RB he split time with graduates this summer. Second, Waterford a couple of the best OL in the state of WI to clear the way for him. On top of it all, the 205 lbs back has the individual talent to contribute towards wearing down a defense. The 205 lbs back has a strong center of gravity despite the bigger 6’2″ frame. He runs behind his pads really well and doesn’t let his feet stop. The physical athlete also flashes solid vision behind the line. I’m ready for a big junior season from the RB.

Debutting as RB1 is the impressive runner out of Watford. Jax has an impressive frame already. Standing 6’2″ 205 lbs, Jax has the frame to handle a big workload, and the physicality to create yards after contact. Jax shows decisiveness as a runner, attacking lanes when he sees them. He doesn’t dance around. Instead he is always trying to gain yards while the ball is in his hands. Jax is a back that will be able to wear down a defense, and get stronger as the game goes on. I’m looking forward to seeing an increased varsity role for him this fall.
