, the senior wide receiver, proved that impact goes far beyond the stat sheet. Even with only one catch, Brooks’ presence was felt in every phase of the game. His leadership and energy on the field were undeniable—blocking with intensity, communicating with teammates, and keeping the offense locked in during a chaotic, turnover-heavy matchup.
Two penalties were called on the defender he was matched up with, but Brooks never lost his cool. He maintained his composure, stayed focused, and continued to set the tone with his maturity. In a game where emotions ran high and every play mattered, Brooks’ poise and veteran leadership carried real weight.
Jack Britt doesn’t win this playoff battle without the way he handled himself. His performance is a perfect example of how a senior leader elevates a team—even when the box score doesn’t tell the full story.

of Jack Britt High School battled through a nagging hamstring injury to make crucial plays for his Carolina Express team leading up to the championship game. Despite not being at full health, Brooks played a pivotal role, consistently making big-time catches in critical moments when the games were still up for grabs.
One of Brooks’ standout qualities is his ability to create separation from defenders, making him a reliable target in key situations. His hands were among the surest in the tournament, and he consistently delivered in high-pressure moments, securing first downs when his team needed them most. His performance was particularly impressive considering he ran the 4×2 relay for Jack Britt on Saturday, which clearly took a physical toll on him, yet he showed up on bracket day less than 100% and still made a huge impact for Carolina Express.
Brooks’ toughness and determination to fight through injury were key factors in Carolina Express’s success during bracket play, and his performance helped propel the team toward the championship. His combination of route-running, separation ability, and reliability under pressure will make him a player to watch as he continues to develop.

Brooks is an excellent route-runner who really improved as a junior with the ball in the air. While his usage stayed about the same from his sophomore to junior year, he became a dangerous touchdown threat this season, scoring 12 times after finding the end zone just five times in his first two years. Brooks stems his routes well and that allows him to have an advantage out of his breaks.
