Jaron is a versatile player on New Kent’s defense. You will see him align in a DE/EDGE position with his hands in the dirt and on two feet. He will also align in a stacked LB position as well. He has a good frame and plays with good strength. Good versus the run. He can hold his positioning on the field to keep a strong edge contained. He comes downhill quickly and with power from the stacked LB positions. He shows some quickness in his pass rush to make a move with good closing speed on the QB, and we should continue to see that grow as a feature of his game. I look forward to seeing Jaron’s development over the next couple of seasons.

Stepping in as freshman to play varsity football especially in Virginia where in my opinion has some of the best high school football in the country. New Kent’s Jaron Collins Jaron Collins 6'3" | 200 lbs | DL/LB New Kent | 2027 State VA not only stepped up, he was a monster and second on his team in tackles.
Very smart football player who is still growing into his 6’3 200 lb. frame, you can see the FBS level potential on tape. A year of varsity football under his belt, Collins is set to dominate this fall.
