Expert Analysis
Matt DeBary | Prep Redzone Scout
A crafty receiver in South Georgia who had a fantastic senior season this fall, Rice is one of the top receivers in the area and deserved to be added to the latest 2026 rankings after catching 60 passes for 1,017 yards and 12 total touchdowns. He can get open and does a great job of finding the football in the air. He’s hard to cover, shows impressive change of direction, and was a consistent go-to option through the air when the Gator offense needed a big play. He hit the 100yard mark four times while scoring multiple touchdowns in three games. He’s now ranked as the No. 52 WR prospect in the state for the 2026 class.

The 6’1 185 WR had an outstanding Senior Season with 51 receptions for 844 yards with 7 TDs. Rice is dangerous as a kick returner for the Gators, adding nearly 200 return yards on the year. He can stretch the field and is good with the ball in his hands creating YAC. If Ware Co pulls the upset on Friday, Rice will have to be big part of the game plan keeping the Falcon defense honest and not crowing the LOS. Savannah State extended an offer recently and Rice is just starting to get some traction in the recruiting world. A good playoff run will go a long way in increasing his exposure.

A playmaking South Georgia wide receiver who can really stretch the field, Rice is one of the fastest wideouts in the area who tracks the ball well and consistently sneak his way past defenders down the field. He shows dependable hands and can pick up easy yards after the catch. He’s a big-play weapon for the Gators who has hauled in 41 passes for 718 yards and seven touchdowns in eight games. He’s flying under the radar still but is having an excellent final season. He’s averaging 90 yards a game and will push for All-Region honors when the season ends.

The 6’1 185 Senior WR has flown under the radar. He had an outstanding game Friday night v #4 Benedictine. Rice had 82 yards receiving, 17 yards rushing and added a 92-yd kickoff return giving him 3 TDs on the night.
He has been a productive option at WR in a rush heavy offense. A long lean frame that uses his athleticism to make grabs over smaller defenders. Rice has scored 4 TDs on just 25 catches and is averaging close to 20 yards per reception. A diamond in rough in the South Georgia Area that has seen his stock rise in ’25.
Projection: NAIA

An under-the-radar receiver in South Georgia having a big season so far, Rice is a long-strider who runs well and can make plays deep down the field. He shows strong ball skills, can make plays over smaller defenders, and has been one of the more productive receivers in the area to start the 2025 season. The Waycross native has made 14 catches through his first three games for 252 yards and two touchdowns. He’s also a reliable option in the running game and on special teams. He’s one of the leading receivers in the area and will be an easy addition to the next Prep Redzone rankings.
