About Jahlen

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

A fast, versatile defensive back with strong athleticism, that is also capable of covering receivers tightly, setting edges, tackling and making plays all over the field. Very fast and shifty in the return game and on offense with the ability to read the game effectively, excelling in all three phases of the game while bringing physicality despite size.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am focused and reserved off the field, letting actions speak louder than words, but a vocal leader on the field who brings energy, confidence, and clear communication to teammates. I am known for my strong work ethic, discipline, and a competitive mindset that elevates helps elevate the team’s performance.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Over the past season, I grown into a true leader both on and off the field. Even though I’m known for being quiet, I have continuously stepped up vocally during games and practices, guiding teammates with confidence and setting the tone with their work ethic and dedication. Outside of football, I have taken my leadership skills to the community by mentoring elementary school students.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

As I continue to grow into a leadership role, I am faced with the challenge of increased expectations both on and off the field. Coaches, teammates, and the community look to them to consistently perform at a high level and set an example, which can bring added pressure. Balancing these expectations with their own personal goals requires a strong sense of discipline and focus.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college program would love me not just for their speed, versatility, and on-field talent, but for who they are as a person. Coaches will appreciate my commitment to improvement and my ability to learn and lead by example. With the right environment, I believe I will thrive, embrace challenges, growing and becoming a disciplined individual with the right coaches guiding me.
