and he’s capping it by moving up 12 spots in the 2026 class and knocking on the door of being a top ten overall prospect. We’ve said it for a while when it came to Battle over the last few years. He’s one of the more dominant players in the state, regardless of position but he needed to stay healthy. Battle kicked off this year by dominating the Under Armour camp down in Dallas and that momentum continued throughout the spring and summer. Battle then turned his attention to tearing things up against 6A-1 competition and he certainly did that. He became a legitimate P4 prospect and he continued to pick up offers this season. When we thought of 2026 prospects who raised their stock this year, Battle was definitely at the top of that list.

is the first of two Big 12 commits for the Wolves on the D-line. Battle checks almost every box when it comes to his ceiling as a prospect. If he can stay healthy, he’s one of the best guys at his position in the state. That has been apparent every time we see him. Whether it’s in camp settings or with the pads on, Battle is a problem to deal with for opposing offensive linemen. When it comes to Battle, his ceiling as a prospect is so incredibly high that we think he’s just scratching the surface on what he can be. And we are fired up to see what kind of production and overall impact he can have with a full healthy season.

has been an absolute roller coaster over the last year. Battle has all the tools and looks the part of a next level prospect. Then he gets banged up and misses time. But when he’s healthy, and that’s what we’re evaluating here, Battle is an absolute menace coming off the edge. He’s also got a lot of momentum right now in his recruitment. After earning DL MVP honors at the Under Armour camp in north Texas, Battle has also earned the attention of college coaches. Battle has been offered by a handful of D1 programs in the few days following the camp and it shouldn’t slow down moving forward. He’s an absolute monster on the defensive line and again, when he’s healthy, he’s one of the best guys in this position group. We’re looking forward to seeing more of Battle moving forward and he could end up moving up again this summer.

is still a 2026 prospect that we really like but he’s been plagued with nagging injuries over the last several months. Battle has all the potential to be one of the better guys at his position but he’s still looking to have that breakout moment when the lights are brightest in the fall. What Battle brings to the table when he’s healthy is a grown man’s game where he has size, speed and power to disrupt things coming off the edge. The ceiling is incredibly high for him moving forward as long as he can avoid those nagging injuries. Battle is an absolute force when he’s 100 percent and this could end up being a very busy and positive offseason for him.

is coming into this season as one of the state’s most intriguing 2026 prospects. Right now, he’s still flying under the radar and waiting for his recruitment to take off. And it feels like only a matter of time before that happens when you see Battle in person. We got a chance to watch him in person multiple times this offseason and there is a lot to like about the physical makeup of the Santa Fe junior. When he takes the field for the Wolves this fall, don’t be surprised to see him line up in a variety of positions and play on both sides of the ball. Battle is a versatile athlete that has a very high ceiling when it comes to being a 2026 prospect.

is one of the more intriguing prospects to watch in this 2026 class. Because all you have to do is see him in person once to think he can be pretty special. And it doesn’t even matter if he has pads on. Battle checks all the boxes from a physical standpoint as he just looks the part. Now, putting it together on the field is the next step and figuring out what his most natural position will be at the next level will be another. But Battle has all the tools to be a very good prospect in this class. Right now, we have him as a defensive end and look forward to seeing what he does as a junior.

is one of the more intriguing prospects in the state’s 2026 class. There is a lot of potential there and moving forward and Saturday was our first chance to see him play his natural position along the line of scrimmage. We had seen Battle in various 7v7 tournaments but he was in his element this weekend and his performance was not surprising. He was one of the more physically impressive athletes at his position and he had it all working for him. Size, speed and moves allowed him to terrorize his opponent. We think this will be a big spring and summer for Battle as more college coaches take a look at him in person.

might have our favorite film we watched from this week’s athletes. Battle was an absolute monster for Santa Fe on film and after seeing him in person a few times in March, the film doesn’t do it justice. Battle looks much bigger in person than he does on film and seeing the way he moves on film and combining that with the eye test in person, the sky is the limit for him moving forward. His stock is pointed up in a big way. Battle has a very unique blend of strength and speed. Against smaller offensive linemen or poor unfortunate tight ends, Battle just steamrolled through them. Against bigger offensive tackles, including some elite guys, Battle used speed to blow by them and get to the quarterback.
