is establishing himself as a Division I prospect as he approaches his senior season. Booker is a talented receiver and defensive back that showcases versatility. He has speed to take the top off of a defense and displayed smooth hands, including a nice one-handed haul in the end zone. Defensively, Booker plays with smooth hips and extremely quick feet that allow him to stay in stride with his opponents. He has good instincts that allow him to stay locked on receivers and break on passes in a hurry.

is a ballhawk safety for Clairton. His ability to read the play and then get his hands on interceptions or pass breakups is impressive. He is also a great tackler. He can read the play and come upfield to make tackles as well. Booker will need to be ready to play because Laurel, who upset Fort Cherry in the last round, will be aiming for a District Title. I expect he will be ready to play and aim for the District Title for Clairton.

Few players in this class bring the type of versatility that Booker does. He can play on an island at corner, where he first stood out on the 7-on-7 circuit, but his natural instincts shine even brighter at safety. Booker is a physical presence who loves to trigger downhill and punish ball carriers. He’s not just a hard hitter, he’s also a sound tackler with the range to patrol the middle of the field and erase plays before they develop. His tape shows he can thrive in multiple roles, whether that’s as a box defender or a single-high safety. His recent Florida State offer is proof that his talent is translating to the national stage, and his recruitment is only beginning to heat up.

- 5’11, 160 pounds, currently ranked as a Top 50 prospect, 8th best DB specifically. 3.5 GPA.
- Likely the biggest winner of any mentioned on this list. The underclassmen featured in this article still have a ton to prove to hold onto the early heat in recruitment. For Booker, a Florida State offer speaks volumes of what his recruiting ceiling might be. FSU serves as Booker’s first Power Four offer, if commitable. Sacramaneto State, Howard, and Akron all extended offers to Booker prior, yet Booker could see a breakthrough post P4 stamp of approval. I’ll keep an eye on Booker’s tape moving forward to make sure he maintains a high grade to reflect the high praise he’s receiving.

played at a high level last year as a safety. What makes him a good safety is his ability to play well against both the run and the pass. The other part of his game that is impressive is that he can play as a deep safety, read the play well, and come screaming upfield to make tackles in the open field. He also shows incredible coverage skills and reads the passing lanes well to go and knock down passes. Booker should be able to contribute more this season as a wide receiver as well. No matter what, Booker is a future College Football player; the kid is a baller, and he already has offers from Howard University and Sacramento State. I expect more offers to come his way.
I am extremely blessed to receive my third division one (first HBCU) offer from Howard university #AGTG @TRCoachKJ_34 @412Elite_7v7FB @EatTeam_2 @wpialsportsnews @Bears4LyfeDC @bears_hc pic.twitter.com/BZXQ8Lr7Ci

Enamored with this young man’s tape, enamored with his boundary corner performance at this past weekend’s event. Several interceptions registered, several PBUs, several incompletions forced. Looking back, I should have Booker’s performance ranked much higher as it was seemingly every ball thrown his way was contested in some form or fashion.
Every single rep with Booker in phase forced the intended wide receiver to fully concentrate and give maximum effort into catching the football. Most kids in the cold couldn’t keep up with Booker’s physical hands and constant effort to make things difficult. Booker recently elevated his ranking on our site, happy to see him prove me right.
