Vanderpuye served as a backup varsity kicker as a sophomore behind a senior in 2025. He kicked off 14 times with two touchbacks, and knocked through both of his extra-point attempts. Vanderpuye also spent time developing on the sophomore squad this past fall in preparation for competing for the starting job in this coming campaign. His 10th-grade highlight video lends insight into Vanderpuye’s abilities and potential. Any easy, compact leg swing gets through the ball quickly and with power in place kicking. His kickoff also is smooth with plenty of leg. The foundation is there as he builds on it with more reps.
