Evan is not only a physical specimen but also a rare athlete among defensive linemen. His dynamic, quick-twitch burst and fluidity make him a mismatch when his hands hit the dirt. In addition to his elite athletic profile, Evan’s hot motor pushes his game to another level.

At the point of attack, his strength is converted from his first step, often leaving opposing linemen a step behind and out-leveraged.  Though he can win with speed, Evans shows strength when creating stalemate in the trenches. With a well-built foundation, wide base, and consistent pad level, it’s rare to see him be moved off the spot – giving him three  down value and one of the better overall profiles in the state.

“Evans is a physical force on the line of scrimmage who has great size, speed, power, and hands. He can completely overwhelm offensive linemen with his athleticism, and is a dominant run defender who can completely wall off his side of the line of scrimmage and create tons of stops.

I think I’m most impressed with Evans’ effort and motor. He plays hard and will work through multiple blockers to get to the ball carrier, making some impressive stops in pursuit all along the line of scrimmage and backfield.”

Evans put together some really impressive tape from his junior season- take a look down below:
