Brunner didn’t have to say much, he came out and worked and let his actions do the talking. Outside of eyes seeing this young man’s frame and muscle, oh yeah, he looks the part too! He plays it and he was one of our top performers because of what he was able to do. He showcased a great deal of being an all-around linebacker who can fly to the ball in pursuit and make plays. Brunner is the real deal out of Alabama’s 2030 class!

Brunner is physical, fast to the point of attack and tackles great. He is put together extremely well and has the IQ to be the guy at the linebacker position. He is someone who knows how to play the game and has a great deal of God-given talent on top of what clearly looks to be a strong work ethic. It sure shows on the gridiron!

Brunner triggers downhill with zero hesitation. There are minimal false steps as he diagnoses and attacks the line of scrimmage with force. Ball carriers don’t get time to gather when he’s involved.

He brings real explosiveness on contact, finishing tackles with authority and setting the tone physically. His ability to work through blocks by either slipping them or taking them head-on—keeps him active in traffic. He doesn’t get stuck on bodies and consistently finds a way to the ball.

There’s a controlled aggression to how he plays. Brunner is not just flying around—he’s arriving with purpose and leverage. That combination allows him to be both disruptive and reliable within the structure of the defense or makes plays off instinct.
