One of the best talents I have had the chance to see on film and up close is Ashton Brunner Ashton Brunner 5'7" | 187.5 lbs | LB/RB Alexandria Valley | 2030 AL . He is fit to the part and backs it all up with his game play. He is the real deal and plays with a high level of physicality and speed. He is going to continue developing at a high level and continue being a household name type of player for years to come, I can guarantee you that. Stay tuned!

Physically, Ashton Brunner is built well beyond his years. He’s jacked for his age, with thick, tree trunk legs and a low center of gravity that allows him to generate leverage and project as a punishing tackler between the hashes. His 4.98s 40-yard dash showed he has the speed to flow downhill and pursue ball carriers from sideline to sideline. In coverage, he had some tougher reps against the more agile running backs, but those are valuable learning moments at this stage. As Ashton’s technique in space continues to develop, his physical tools give him a very high ceiling.

Brunner was a smaller prospect who showed good physicality and speed. He has the ability to play on both sides of the ball. I liked his press in Zone Coverage, knocking players off their spot, and he showed good poise and a high IQ, sitting in Zones during the 7v7 portion.

Brunner is another talented prospect coming up from Alabama this weekend. The 2030 Athlete, can play on both sides of the ball, and showcases some versatility with reps at LB and RB. He will suit up for Alexandria Valley this fall, and against a stacked group of RB’s I am curious to see him compete in Pass Coverage 1v1s.

He can from Alabama and put on display what he can do and left with an impact showing coaches, scouts and other players that he is a serious baller and a future household name. He has the size, the lateral quickness, pursuit ability and IQ. Brunner is going to be a standout at the “RIZE” in New Jersey because he can really go. Excellent player.

Brunner didn’t have to say much, he came out and worked and let his actions do the talking. Outside of eyes seeing this young man’s frame and muscle, oh yeah, he looks the part too! He plays it and he was one of our top performers because of what he was able to do. He showcased a great deal of being an all-around linebacker who can fly to the ball in pursuit and make plays. Brunner is the real deal out of Alabama’s 2030 class!

Brunner is physical, fast to the point of attack and tackles great. He is put together extremely well and has the IQ to be the guy at the linebacker position. He is someone who knows how to play the game and has a great deal of God-given talent on top of what clearly looks to be a strong work ethic. It sure shows on the gridiron!

Brunner triggers downhill with zero hesitation. There are minimal false steps as he diagnoses and attacks the line of scrimmage with force. Ball carriers don’t get time to gather when he’s involved.

He brings real explosiveness on contact, finishing tackles with authority and setting the tone physically. His ability to work through blocks by either slipping them or taking them head-on—keeps him active in traffic. He doesn’t get stuck on bodies and consistently finds a way to the ball.

There’s a controlled aggression to how he plays. Brunner is not just flying around—he’s arriving with purpose and leverage. That combination allows him to be both disruptive and reliable within the structure of the defense or makes plays off instinct.
