is a ball hawking free safety that constantly is putting himself in a good position to make plays on the ball. He displays very good mental processing to read the QB’s eyes and route concepts. Davis possesses the range to get outside the numbers. Good ability with the ball in his hands and is a threat to score every time he gets an interception. He shows a good understanding of when to be discipline and when to be aggressive. Clean in and out breaks, overall Davis is a good athlete and instinctive on the back end.

This West Tennessee prospect is the epitome of the word “Ball Hawk” as Davis simply has a nose for the ball and being a playmaker on defense that translates well to the college game. Breaking out last year as a junior, Davis is the leading returner in interceptions and will most certainly be on every opposition’s game plan to throw away from this Fall football season. He shows great instincts and quick feet on film, consistently putting himself in position to either make the interception or break up the pass. Davis mans the corner role for his Bulldogs team and could develop further and stay there on the next level but his size and game play might translate best at nickel. His ability to make plays on the ball simply works anywhere in the secondary and Davis will be a steal for whoever puts their chips all in on the Memphis area product.

Davis burst onto the scene last year as a junior, leading the state in interceptions and placing himself on the map as an eventual college recruit but those offers have yet to arrive. The Bulldogs stud defensive back plays a clean, consistent brand of football, meaning he tends to always be around the ball due to his quick feet and technique sound play. He has the skill set to play a variety of roles in the secondary with his biggest upside sitting at nickel back and even possibly cover corner. Davis is a bit underrated at the moment but a strong showing during college camp season could certainly change the course of his recruitment.
