Jacob was a defensive force for Oakland Mills as the nearly shut out Poly (MD) on Saturday. Getting all over the field causing havoc, JSA racked up 12 total tkls and some big hits to add. A box SS, Jacob can come downhill, fill and make tackles at the LOS as well as rack up TFL’s. He can also drop back in coverage and lock down the middle of the field. With strong ball skills and athleticism, he gets his hands on passes for PBUs. JSA is the leader of that defense and plays like it with great intensity. A high academic prospect as well, Patriot level and FCS schools should be all over Jacob this fall.

Jacob has been an impressive prospect in person all spring long. In June he camped at Georgetown, Howard and Columbia. Those check as Jacob is also a high academic prospect carrying a 4.5 GPA. A yoked up, athletic DB, I know Jacob caught a lot of coaches eyes at camp as he easily passes the eye ball test. He also test very well, with a verified 40″ Vert and consistently getting 10’3-5″ scores in his SBJ. Physical, explosive, and quick hipped, JSA fits the mold of a dynamic box S. His ability to quickly transition in his backpedal and have smooth COD allows him to cover lots of ground quickly. I would expect JSA to be moving up lots of schools boards this summer after his performances & he should see some offers coming his way shortly.

Jacob was one of my favorite DB performers at the National Preps Showcase earlier this month. He checked off a lot of boxes and looked the part on the hoof. Measuring in at 5’11” , was a yoked 174lbs and registered at 10’5″ SBJ score-which was tied for the highest score of all prospects at the event. JSA is prospect with a compact muscled up build and serious explosiveness. He is physical with great burst out of breaks and closing speed. JSA showcased good ball skills as well during drill work and 1v1s. Turning and locating it quickly to get his hands on the pass. A track athlete, and a high academic prospect as well, JSA is getting serious interest from schools like Brown, Villanova, Stetson and more. Jacob is a no brainer academic FCS offer Safety prospect in my mind and he showcased why that is during the National Preps Showcase.
