Given the sheer number of high school football quarterbacks in Ohio, it’s tough to lead the entire state in passing even as a senior. It’s even more impressive for Worthington Kilbourne quarterback Jackson Szabo Jackson Szabo 5'11" | 195 lbs | QB Worthington Kilbourne | 2028 State OH , a junior who has compiled 2,221 yards passing and 26 total touchdowns with just three interceptions. Szabo is very good at buying time and throwing on the move. Very calm under duress. One of Ohio’s most talented 2028 QBs.

Jackson is on pace for over 3,000 yards and 60+ touchdowns after a dominant start through three weeks. Jackson is a true dual-threat quarterback who can hurt you on the run and through the air. His pocket avoidance and overall footwork are good and can elongate plays. Jackson is the current front runner for D1 District Player of the Year.

Jackson is someone I saw earlier this season, and he impressed then. He makes defenses play straight up against him, as his legs are just as big of a threat as his arm is. He can make throws in any area of the field, and does a great job at creating out of structure. He’s comfortable making plays off balance and does a lot for his team to progress the ball downfield. He led Worthington Kilbourne to their first over .500 regular season since 2015 with nearly 2,800 yards and 30 total touchdowns.

Szabo made many great plays tonight. He does well at making his legs a weapon, and can use his legs to extend plays and cash in for completions. He led a game-winning drive on the road against a tough Dublin Scioto defense.

Dual threat, highly-productive, very mobile quarterback.  Can buy time with his legs and throw on the run.  Has good accuracy and high upside.  Staff loves his potential.  Finished freshman season with 2,494 total yards and 23 touchdowns.
