Expert Analysis
Josh White | Prep Redzone Scout
Sarapin was one of the most forceful trench presences in the state this year. While winning early with great leverage, strong pad level, and heavy, well-timed hands- he controlled blocks. His grip strength and lower-body drive are standout traits — once he locks, the play is likely over.
Though he’s a traditional interior lineman his upside shows he could be three-down interior defender. Sarapin flashed nuance as a pass rusher with long-arm leverage, push-pull counters, and the ability to transition from power to shed when guards overextend. His lateral mobility is solid for his frame, giving him range to redirect, chase, and finish plays outside his initial gap- making him one of the more college ready seniors in his class.

Sarapin is a true mountain mover in the trenches. His superior strength allows him to collapse pockets and clog interior gaps with consistency. He shows excellent leverage at the point of attack, pairing it with strong hand placement and a disciplined base. Sarapin wins with both a bull rush and long-arm technique, keeping linemen off balance and freeing up linebackers behind him. His physicality and technique make him one of the more dependable interior anchors in the 2026 cycle.

is a talented DL prospect out of Muscle Shoals who put together a really impressive season last fall.
Three things that immediately jump off of Sarapin’s tape are his effort, motor, and skills in pursuit- he’s a destructive force on the line of scrimmage who will work through multiple blockers and make his way across the entire field if it means he can help his defense come up with stops.
I’m really impressed with how well Sarapin matches up at the line of scrimmage- he’s got great size, speed, power, and leverage he uses to immediately put OL on their heels and make plays in the backfield. It’s seriously impressive how quickly Sarapin gets off the snap- he’s an athletic member of Muscle Shoals’ defensive line capable of making huge plays every down.
Sarapin had a huge year last fall, ending his junior season with 32 total tackles (4 for loss), 3 sacks, one forced fumble, and 3 QB hurries.
Sarapin was a big piece of Muscle Shoal’s defense last fall, be sure to check out his tape from last season below.
