Expert Analysis
Patton Fitzpatrick | Prep Redzone Scout
Nekolny is another aggressive senior who will help anchor the Bulldogs offensive line. Like Porcaro, Nekolny is a smooth puller who gets downhill and runs through anything in his path. He is athletic and has a nastiness that speaks to his mindset. When working to the second level, Nekolny gets his feet up and down in a hurry and peels off of combination blocks with urgency. In pass protection, Nekolny can close space by moving his feet and bringing his hands with a powerful punch. He keeps a strong base and will not give ground when faced with bull rushes. Looking to build off his junior season, Nekolny’s stock is on the rise.

is another member of this group who has proven to be one of the better offensive linemen in his class. At 6’2 and 245 pounds, Jackson is on the leaner side of the scale but makes up for it with his nasty play on the line of scrimmage. Jackson seemed to be the utility player for Batavia on the offensive line last year with stints at all 5 positions. Having that kind of experience is vital at the next level and allows him to play wherever he wants with the experience to back it up. On the field, Jackson is a tough offensive lineman that plays with an attitude. With the trend that he is on, I would not be surprised to see him climb the offensive line boards as he dominates next season.

Mr. Nekolny had his hands full going up against FBS caliber prospects lined up in the box all night long. Safe to say that there were a handful of times where he was able to hold his own and win the reps against this stout Mount Carmel defense. This young man was able to wash defensive lineman down and got solid pushes up front when drive blocking at times all with his strong punch at the point of attack. He can also kick out the defensive end when he’s pulling as a lead blocking creating a lane for the ball carrier to hit. In terms of his pass protection, he was able to mirror rushing defenders to keep the pocket clean for his QB at times by staying square and getting out of his stance quickly set to block. Projects as an IOL at the next level and technically sound he’s as good as they come. Get eyes on this young man.
