Bordelon is the perfect example of why it helps to make a strategic visit schedule. We had him ranked in the low-200s until he ran in the mid-4.7s at our Prep Redzone camp, adding an impressive shuttle as well. He was fantastic that day and it completely changed my perception of him. I went back to the film and loved what I saw: a free-moving thumper who isn’t afraid to take risks or seek out contact. He’s a guy who could see his stock soar as a senior.

Jackson was named a 1st Team All-Conference Linebacker last season, but even more impressive is the reported 4.3 GPA that he had coming into this Academic Mega Camp. The fluidity and quickness Jackson showed as a linebacker going through drills were a strong point in his camp performance. Jackson ran a 4.63 40-yard dash time and showed the ability to change direction well in space throughout the agility circuit portion of the camp. We have highlighted Jackson a good bit recently, and he continues to impress throughout this offseason.

I had originally assumed Bordelon was in our rankings, and when I realized he wasn’t, I immediately corrected the mistake. He can really move and is a sure tackler, a candidate to be one of the top tacklers in the class as a senior. He’s a smooth mover, something that was evident when we saw him at our Prep Redzone NC combine in early May.

was voted the top linebacker at the camp—and rightfully so. At 214 pounds, he clocked a blazing 4.6-flat 40-yard dash, pairing size with rare speed. Bordelon stood out during skill sessions, showing a strong grasp of technique and the ability to quickly apply coaching in real time. He moved with purpose, showed sharp instincts, and competed with intensity throughout the day. With his combination of athleticism, football IQ, and coachability, Bordelon is a true sleeper on the recruiting trail—and a player college programs should be tracking closely.

We were late to seeing Bordelon’s film, but he’s a guy who should find himself safely within the rankings by the next update. He’s a smart player who gets good depth on his drops in zone coverage, and he’s good at filling gaps in the running game. He’s someone I’m excited to watch this fall and I think he’s a guy who could end up finishing his high school career on a high note and playing at the next level.
