The most productive freshman running back for the class of 2030, so far, has been Iziah Guzman Iziah Guzman 5'7" | 175 lbs | RB/LB Camden Eastside | 2030 NJ . The Camden product has rushed 65 times for 498 yards with 7 scores. In all four of his varsity games for a 3-1 Eastside team, he has went over 100 yards and scored in all but one contest. The youngster has also slashed 8/88 through the air and pitched in with 5 tackles (1 solo, 2 for loss) on defense.

Iziah continued to impress once again this weekend at the PA Classic. While 7v7’s aren’t typically the place where RBs and LBs get to shine, Iziah made the most of every opportunity and impressed the scouts in attendance. As a backer, Iziah played sticky in coverage when receiver’s crossed the middle. Even if the other team was able to complete the pass, he was able to hold them to a 2-3 yard gain. Offensively, Iziah lined up out of the backfield and showed that he can be a receiving target as well. Iziah is a strong, built RB, so I am excited to see what he can do once he puts the pads on this fall.

Although Iziah will be a running back with Camden, his showing from the slot this weekend with Youngshinerz won’t be overlooked. He was shifty with the ball in his hands. He was fine with doing some of the dirty work, being thrown balls in tight windows near the endzone, and being an underneath target. It wasn’t necessarily flashy, but Iziah did good work this event.

Iziah Guzman Iziah Guzman 5'7" | 175 lbs | RB/LB Camden Eastside | 2030 NJ displays a unique blend of power and athleticism at the running back position. Iziah shows quick reaction time and high level vision, allowing him to identify and cut to open running lanes with fluidity. His ability to redirect and bounce plays outside makes him dangerous in both inside and outside zone schemes.

Physically, he runs with massive, powerful legs that keep driving through contact, making him extremely difficult to bring down on first contact. Guzman consistently demonstrates relentless effort in short yardage situations, showing toughness and determination against stacked defensive fronts.

While his strength stands out, his film highlights a clear explosiveness and overall athletic profile that goes beyond the mold of a pure power back. Given Iziah’s combination of vision, power, and athletic upside, this running back projects as a highly sought after prospect in the Class of 2030.

Built like a tank with the wheels of a sprinter, Iziah Guzman Iziah Guzman 5'7" | 175 lbs | RB/LB Camden Eastside | 2030 NJ is already turning heads with a rare blend of power and speed. Unlike your typical 2030 back, he’s got a stockier, stronger frame that allows him to absorb contact and keep his legs churning through traffic. He runs with a low pad level, making him tough to bring down, and his shiftiness between the tackles makes him a nightmare for defenders in tight spaces. Whether it’s slicing to the edge with a burst or powering up the gut for tough yards, he’s built to do it all.

What truly sets Iziah apart, though, is his determined running style—every carry looks like it’s personal. He’s the kind of back who finishes runs with authority, often dragging defenders with him. A natural touchdown machine, Iziah’s already piling up scores and big plays at will. With his physical tools, instincts, and motor, it’s clear he’s destined to be a major contributor at one of the top private schools in the state in the years to come.

The fact that Guzman decided to reclass back to the class of 2030 should strike fear in the hearts of any team that has to play him this upcoming 2025 fall season. This past season as a 12-year old, he was nothing short of dominant for the Deptford Spartans in the 14U division of the tough Tri-County United Football League. Built like a bulldog but with the feet and quickness of a scat back, he’s already squatting north of 300 pounds. To this point in February 2025, he is an all-purpose back that can run between the tackles, has the speed to get to the outside, and can even be a factor in the passing game out of the backfield.

A powerhouse Running Back/Middle Linebacker that brings the thunder to a Deptford team that is full of lightning in 2024. That said, Guzman is nowhere near slow and should win a lot of footraces too. Physically strong and runs low to the ground.
