Cooper is coming off a productive junior season and played himself onto the radar, even though his recruitment is still taking shape. Cooper is a well-rounded player who makes an impact at all three levels. He has the game speed and long times to lift off and separate, both before and after the catch. He is sudden and twitchy enough to bounce around traffic in YAC situations and create his own yards. He flashes a physical edge, both after the catch and in contested catch situations. As I said, Cooper is well-rounded, and I would consider him a D1 graded receiver.

Israel Cooper Israel Cooper 6'1" | 175 lbs | WR Buckhorn | 2027 State AL is an explosive weapon in Buckhorn’s passing attack who made huge impact plays all last season.

“Cooper is a vertical threat who can line up in multiple spots and dismantle opposing secondaries. His speed, route running, and physicality make him an incredibly reliable weapon out wide who can separate and secure passes all over the field.

I’m a huge fan of what Cooper can do after the catch. He’s explosive and has great elusiveness and change of direction that he uses to stop on a dime and embarrass opposing defenders. He’s constantly shaking defenders and avoiding tacklers; it’s impressive to watch.”

(Cooper hauled in 41 catches for 692 yards and 7 TDs in 2025)

Cooper thrives off his versatility and athleticism and should be set up for a big final season this upcoming fall. I’m really looking forward to seeing what he has in store. Until then, make sure you watch some of his film below:

Really liked this kid on tape. Extremely underrated player out of this region, despite the traits and projection. He plays all over the field, but will project as a receiver. Sits around 6’0 165. He is a lean, fluid athlete with long strides. He is smooth, maintaining his top speed while weaving and changing direction. He can play vertically down the field, helping him round out his game. Buckhorn has one of the more slept-on players in this region, and he is worthy of recruiting attention.
