has been high on my radar for a while now and continued to stand out as a senior. He led Rockcastle County in rushing this season, carrying the ball 114 times for 1,171 yards and 14 touchdowns in 12 games. Jackson is explosive out of his stance, showing the ability to burst through the running lane with a sense of urgency then use his speed to break away from the defense on long runs. When defenders are able to catch up to him, Jackson has shown the elusiveness to make them miss in the open field. He also caught 14 passes for 302 yards and six touchdowns as a senior while also returning one kickoff for a touchdown. Isaiah also made an impact on defense this past season, recording 44 tackles, seven tackles for loss, three sacks, and two interceptions. Jackson is committed to Louisville where I can see him developing into a productive player at the next level.

is another ball carrier who has helped lead his team to a 3-0 start. As a senior, Jackson has carried the ball 47 times for 573 yards and eight touchdowns. He has explosive speed which he uses to burst through the line of scrimmage in a hurry then run away from the defense on long runs once he hits the second level. Jackson has also shown impressive vision in the open field, showing the ability to find cut back lanes then use quick cuts to make defenders miss. He has also caught three passes for 33 yards and a touchdown, returned one kickoff for a touchdown, and accounted for 10 tackles and a tackle for loss through the first three games. Isaiah currently holds offers from Eastern Kentucky, Austin Peay State, and Kentucky State, and I expect more to come his way as he is a true Division I caliber prospect.

, an athlete at Rockcastle County High School. Jackson stands out with his size and ability to overwhelm the defense on the ground, consistently breaking free into the endzone. I also like Jackson’s breakaway speed as a receiver, proving he can handle the defense down the stretch and haul in the deep pass.

Considering some of the outstanding performances that a few of his older teammates have put together for this fall’s resurgent Rockets, it’s understandable if the younger Jackson might inadvertently get overlooked. However, make no mistake about it: opposing staffs will overlook him at their own peril. A physical, fundamentally polished and versatile performer on both sides of the ball, he hauled in 6 passes for 104 yards in his squad’s big 49-12 first-round win over Estill County and also contributed 4 total stops 1 tackle for loss and 1 fumble recovery (a 27-yard scoop-and-score) in helping his Rockets secure their first 10-win season since 2016. Now averaging 12.0 yards per touch on 33 receptions and 15 rushing attempts, Jackson has scored 8 touchdowns offensively and currently ranks 4th among all Rocket defenders with 30 solo tackles, 16 assists, 7 tackles for loss, 1 interception and 2 fumble recoveries. A durable competitor who exerts full effort whether blocking, tackling or receiving the ball, Jackson and his 10-1 Rockets will look to continue their memorable season when they host Lawrence County in Round 2 of the Class AAA playoffs.

. As a freshman, Jackson played a key role on both sides of the ball. On offense, he is a dangerous deep threat at wide receiver. He has shown the ability to use his speed to blow by opposing defensive backs to create separation. Through his first three games this season, Jackson has caught nine passes for 113 yards and three touchdowns. Jackson is also a reliable defensive back on the other side of the ball. So far this season, Jackson has nine tackles, three tackles for loss, and one interception. Jackson doesn’t currently hold any offers but he will be a player for college coaches to keep an eye on over the next few seasons as a player that could play on either side of the ball at the next level.
