Hominy has another versatile athlete emerging in the 2029 class. The Bucks have had a solid run of players that have size, athletic ability and can be moved around to a variety of positions to help them have success. Isaiah HughesIsaiahHughes

is that next player and he earned very valuable playing time during his freshman season. Which helped the Bucks make it to the state championship game. Now, he has an even bigger role on both sides of the ball and on a team that is definitely going through a youth movement, Hughes has been one of their more consistent players. Hominy coaches were high on Hughes coming into the season and he’s lived up to the preseason hype from this summer.

found his way on the field despite being a freshman. He had a touchdown catch in the state championship game and Hominy’s coaches are very excited about his potential as we look ahead to the 2026 season. Hughes is going to be a player that the Bucks can move around at different positions. But look for him to have his biggest impact at running back and wide receiver. Hughes was playing really good football for the Bucks down the stretch last season and if he carries that momentum into 2026, this could end up being a breakout season for the sophomore.
