I knew going in that Isaac shines the brightest showing off his speed and elite change of direction. I finally got to see it in person and was incredibly impressed. This is a high D2 or maybe even a D1 type talent. He is a big state championship game away from tons of offers, I’ve seen it happen before.
- Elite athleticism, was able to beat would-be tacklers in the open field
- Ran every route like he was getting the ball whether he did or not, never taking a play off
- Great hands, able to make difficult catches if he needs to

I wasn’t planning on writing about Isaac, but his name kept popping up on defense.
That said, Isaac was bottled up pretty good on offense. Even when he caught the ball, it was usually close to the line of scrimmage and the Mona Shores defense didn’t allow an inch. I also saw Mona Shores double cover Isaac on multiple occasions.
Isaac’s defensive play did not go unnoticed, though. Although he’s a DB, he plays like a linebacker. Mona Shores couldn’t get anything going outside of the tackles, largely because of Isaac’s ability to quickly sidestep a block and make a crucial tackle. Isaac was also rock-solid in pass coverage, which is par for the course.

Isaac’s week 3 highlight tape is better than most receivers’ full-season tape. I mean turn on the tape and see for yourself. His first highlight showcases incredible instincts. As the back attempts to reverse course, Isaac fires toward the ballcarrier and makes a linebacker-like play. Further on, the play at 0:26 shows an awesome double move that leaves the DB in the dust.
Just watch the full tape. Isaac’s week 3 highlights are dynamic, varied, and it showcases his dominance in several areas. The more I see of Isaac, the more he creeps toward a D1 evaluation. I can’t wait to see him this week against Mona Shores, and I can’t wait to eventually watch him in College.

Isaac had an excellent game on both sides of the ball. Offensively, he was unbeatable deep downfield. On two occasions, he got wide open with streaking routes downfield and converted those into TDs. He also had a punt return for a TD.
Defensively, Isaac had an acrobatic interception (0:39) in addition to many instances of great man-to-man coverage.
I know I mostly just recounted Isaac’s plays, but I definitely see some improvement since last season. Isaac looks more explosive and as reactive/twitchy as ever. He’s a dude with great play instincts, and the athleticism to out-perform 98% of high school players. I can’t wait to see where Isaac ends up committing!

Since the 2023 season concluded, Isaac has been non-stop training and attending camps. Through all of his work, he’s earned offers from Ferris State and Hope. Ever since I watched Isaac have a career performance against FHC last year, he’s been high on our rankings board. During that game, Isaac caught several off-schedule passes and displayed great contested catch ability.
This offseason, I’ve watched Isaac train the little things. I’m confident that his footwork, route-running, and hands have all improved. A while ago, I thought his hands needed some work, but as of late, the drops have been fewer and further between. I believe that the only thing keeping Isaac from being a D1 athlete is his athleticism. His athletic ability is great, but it’s not at the elite level like most D1 receivers. Isaac falls into the category of players who I’m supremely confident will continue to improve. I’m looking forward to seeing where Isaac ends up committing, and looking forward to seeing what his Senior Season holds.
