About Ian

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

All in and it showed on defense this year. At 180 lb OLB, I would take anybody on, did not matter the size. When playing QB, fearless. I will be the starter this year.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Mentality - Love to lift and condition so I can play at my maximum. This makes me mentally strong. Personality - Quiet but a fun Christian young man.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

DECA Sophomore class vice president.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Leadership - I have learned from my dad (head football coach) and my senior brother. My dad is very vocal and leads that way. My brother is not vocal, but leads through actions. Teamwork - I have played team sports my entire life and there is not one person bigger than the team. Community service - I do a lot at our church along with youth sports at our school.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Yes, I have had some injuries that have set me back but one has to go through it to get to it.

What type of college are you looking for?

Can be big or small but it must have a good financial degree.

Ian spent 2025 playing OLB for Cambridge and backing up their senior QB. The 2028 is a next level athlete, flying around the field making tackles for the defense and earning All Conference honors for his play. For the Showcase he came out to show what he can do with his arm. The sophomore has a strong frame, especially for an underclassman. He has a bit of a unique, quick snap throwing motion but the 2028 is still able to get behind the ball and drive it into receivers on short to intermediate routes. I’m excited to see him take over the job at QB and utilize that arm and his legs.
