is a player who has been high on our radar since entering the high school ranks and is really starting to show the potential we saw early. Playing defensive tackle, Houston posted solid production as a junior with 20 tackles, four TFLs, and two sacks, but his impact went deeper than the stat sheet. The part of Luce’s game that stood out the most is his brute strength, especially when bull-rushing, where he effortlessly walked back several blockers to spill into the backfield. He’s very effective with his hands, using them to jab, swim, and rip his way through blocks with minimal wasted movements. Once he’s worked his way into the backfield, Luce is vicious with his pursuit and will keep playing through the whistle. Houston has quite the offer list, including schools like Wisconsin-Platteville, Grand View, Buena Vista, Simpson College, Central College, Wisconsin-Eau Claire, Loras College, and Southwest Minnesota State.

Luce is compact and stout, operating with a low pad level and strength to drive through opponents. He illustrates that during his junior highlight video. Luce overpowers interior offensive linemen, often taking on multiple blocks and separating from them. He’s quick off of the snap and in tight spaces, understanding how to use leverage and his hands. Luce is a high-motor player that keeps attacking through the whistle. He finished his 11th-grade campaign with 20.0 tackles. Luce recorded 4.0 tackles for loss and 2.0 sacks.
