Holden made the the around 4-hour trip to our Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase from Hatton-Northwood, and ended up on my third team for the running back group, but surely is one that has the upside as an incoming junior to rise into a higher team as we look ahead. The 6’0 191 pounder shows off the sound RB measurables for his age and was that showed off the fluidity we wanted to see in the live eval especially with his first step upon getting the ball in his hands. Holden also showed off solid change of direction in the reps we we watched which also in testing placed inside our top 20 in the entire showcase with his L-drill number. He’s grown with his hands since my last look within the last handful of months, which is another skillset that has attached growth heading into camp season in my eyes.

We had Holden at our Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase recently as he was a new name that popped out in the live eval. Holden shows off an agile first step once the ball reaches his hands as a running back out of Hatton-Northwood that also boosts great measurables for his age at the RB position. Holden is also bouncy with his change of direction and has upside growing his vision strongly over the coming season on when to utilize that to his disposal with the right timing. More tape along with a strong off season working his speed and agility should certainly see Holden grow by the next 2028 update we do after summer camps.

A new name that hit my radar at our Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase, was Holden Halvorson Holden Halvorson 6'0" | 191 lbs | RB/LB Hatton-Northwood | 2028 State ND out of Hatton-Northwood. The 5’11 183 pounder is another well put together running back from this RB group and one that intrigued me while I was standing at the L-drill in which he ran an elite 7.09 which is great for his age and that size profile. He showed a quick suddeness at getting to his top speed in the reps I watched and what I found out pre-showcase on tape that didn’t surprise me was his durability getting yards after contact. He certainly will be a 2028 ND running back to add to my radar in that class.
