Herlin Perry
Wide Receiver MVP: He is another prospect who took reps at both DB and WR positions. His last rep at WR was seen as a higher-level graded rep.
This rep was impressive, as he was being pressed by an experienced DB and he used his obvious burst with quickness to get a clean release. While running the go route, he gave a nice breakdown fake to give the defender something to think about in short area, then used a burst of acceleration to pull away from his defender and make a nice catch in stride downfield. An experienced route that made it easy for me to give him the MVP honors on the day.
rnI’ve had the pleasure to see him perform a few times in an evaluation setting during spring 2023, and he has always shown a very good understanding of both WR and DB position skills. He also was a top performer amongst the DB groups during this showcase. Versatile athlete.

Whats been said: June 2023 – Scout Analysis: Performing as a DB during the M2 QB Academy Showcase, his skill set really stood out. He shined in press man coverages making it difficult for a few WR’s to get the clean release they like. He has a nice 5’11 frame to him with obvious length in his arms and legs. He plays with confidence and understanding of DB techniques. He can flip his hips in either direction fluidly. His back pedal is smooth with a quick burst when he attacks the ball. He shined brightly both days. His performance earned him “Top Performer” in the AM session from the staff.
