Umulis got onto the field one game last season as a freshman, has a good frame, and has a bunch of the traits you’re looking for in an upcoming defense end. He’s quick off the line and doesn’t have an issue working upfield. He’s a bit ahead of schedule in terms of the weight room and being able to build up his frame, however, it’s important to not get complacent. Where Umilis is at right now is very promising, but ideally, it’s just the tip of the iceberg for him. Having a 6’4″ DE who can play the run and pass with 3 years left is huge, and I’m stoked to see what he can do moving forward.
