Hayden Smith Hayden Smith 6'2" | 220 lbs | LB/EDGE Grissom | 2025 State AL is a destructive EDGE prospect out of Grissom that has been a consistent playmaker on their defense the last few years. Smith can do everything his coaches ask of him- he’s a talented pass rusher, can set the edge, and even occasionally will drop back into coverage to shut down TEs/RBs. As a pass rusher, Smith can generate consistent pressure. He has a wide variety of moves and athleticism he uses to overwhelm and beat offensive linemen to get to the quarterback. Against the run, Smith is a dominant defender. He sets the edge well, doesn’t let the running back break to the outside, and is a terrific tackler who consistently brings down the ball carrier at and behind the line of scrimmage. After his prolific junior season last year, Smith is set up for a really big final season this fall.
