About Jonathan

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Jonathan Edwards, a Class of 2028 cornerback at Grissom High School, as one of the top football prospects in the Huntsville area. Jonathan is a disciplined and highly competitive defensive back who demonstrates strong coverage ability, athleticism, and football intelligence. He consistently shows sound technique, awareness in coverage, and a strong work ethic both on and off the field.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I stay focused, be patient and trust my game. Im calm but competitive I don't give up anything. Im overall a calm person , I don't get rattled, I stay patient in coverage and trust my speed and athleticism while guarding the receiver.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Track and field, I have my school record in long jump and high jump

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Grissom football team does community service.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

What type of college are you looking for?

Im looking for small colleges like Alabama A&M and other small colleges that develop players.

“At 6’1 170, Edwards has the size, speed, and instincts to thrive out in Grissom’s secondary. He’s quick on his feet, is great at recognizing and identifying plays, and can provide great coverage and run support all over the field.

I’m really impressed with Edwards’ tackling. He consistently helps stop big runs from breaking out in the open field, flying downhill near the line of scrimmage to deliver huge hits to opposing backs.”

Edwards can do so many things well on defense. We all need to watch for him this upcoming season. He has a big year ahead.
