Independence continued to bolster its defensive front by adding 2027 DL Harrison Smith from Greenbrier East. Smith showed plenty of promise on film as a junior and now joins a program that has consistently developed productive defensive linemen. While some of Independence’s transfers have drawn plenty of attention, don’t overlook 2027 DL Harrison Smith. The Greenbrier East transfer flashed on his junior film, and there’s likely another level to his game to unlock in the Patriots’ program. Independence has developed its share of productive defensive linemen, and Smith has the tools to follow that path. He may not be the most talked-about addition, but he has the potential to become an important contributor up front and provide a complementary presence alongside their returning talent.
