A lot to like about Trachte out of Enumclaw with combination of size, arm talent, and composure. He’s a smooth and savvy athlete with a great frame at 6’4” 220 lbs. Clean footwork and throwing mechanics with good pocket mobility. Possesses a strong over the top delivery and works well to square up as he pivots in the direction of his target. Calm demeanor in the pocket, he’s never panicked or rushed and does a good job feeling/escaping pressure. Shows he can work through his progression processing information quickly and making smart decisions with the football. Great ability to see the whole field and hit his spots to all areas of the field to attack the weak spots in a defense. Good potential and upside and looking to build on his initial offer from Puget Sound in late May with a strong senior season.

Trachte burst onto the scene as a Junior this year, slinging the ball deep with a strong arm that helped maximize Enumclaw’s offensive weaponry. He’s at his best standing tall in the pocket and delivering the ball all over the field, where he can make accurate and tight throws to all three levels. He excels going deep, but has great vision and instincts to find open middle routes and place the ball between defenders. He errs on the side of caution, leading receivers into the open field in tight coverage. His throwing motion isn’t as pretty as others but his arm potential is limitless in the right scheme. He stood out at the Cleats V Cancer underclassmen combine, where he’s already garnered interest from universities. He carried himself well and displayed his coach-ability in conversations as he also made several good throws with other top competition in the 1-on-1 drills. Look for Trachte to lead a talented Enumclaw team and have a big recruiting cycle next year.

Halfway through the 2022 season, Gunnar Trachte Gunnar Trachte 6'4" | 205 lbs | QB Enumclaw | 2024 State WA has been on an excellent pace in terms of his touchdown to interception ratio, with eleven scores and only two interceptions in his first 68 attempts. His first season as a full-time starter has seen the 6’4″ Trachte put up numbers that could rival anybody in the region. As he continues to develop further into his role as a starter, I expect his stats to get even more impressive, and his frame alone will surely draw the attention of college scouts.
