This is just a couple teams listed, there will be more who will be at the top of the class.
Lynden HS – Last Season: 13-0 – 2A STATE CHAMPION
Lynden is a football powerhouse in the state of Washington and they have been for a very, very long time. They are an extremely disciplined team due to their fantastic coaching staff. The Lions did lose a number of role players, but won’t have trouble finding players to take on bigger roles. They will once again compete for a 2A state championship, especially with Brant Heppner Brant Heppner 6'6" | 220 lbs | QB Lynden | 2025 State WA (’25 QB), Cooper Moore (’24 WR/DB), Isaiah Oudman Isaiah Oudman 6'3" | 250 lbs | LB Lynden | 2025 State WA (’25 TE/LB), and Kuyper Assink (’25 OL/DL) all returning.
North Kitsap HS – Last Season: 12-2
The Vikings had a very, very good season last year. They lost in the 2A state championship game to Lynden by a score of 24-31. They also lost a tight game in week 2 to Tumwater by a score of 6-8. They also have some key role players who graduated but with so much talent all around still, they will compete with the top teams. Logan Sloman Logan Sloman 6'0" | 170 lbs | WR North Kitsap | 2024 State WA (’24 WR) will be back after arguing being the best player on the team last year. Ethan Guerra Ethan Guerra 6'2" | 190 lbs | WR North Kitsap | 2024 WA (’24 WR), EJ Vailolo EJ Vailolo 6'3" | 280 lbs | DL North Kitsap | 2024 State WA (’24 OL/DL), Nate Thornton (’25 OL/DL) will also be some players to watch on this North Kitsap squad.
Enumclaw HS – Last Season: 12-1
The Hornets were a dominate team all season long with their only loss coming in the semi-finals of the state tournament, losing to eventual champion Lynden by a score of 14-41. The athletes coming back from last years team are HUNGRY to get back to that state tournament and I think they have a great chance to make that happen. Gunnar Trachte Gunnar Trachte 6'4" | 205 lbs | QB Enumclaw | 2024 State WA (’24 QB) is a big time leader who is going to have a very solid senior season. Ryan Fehr Ryan Fehr 5'11" | 270 lbs | OL Enumclaw | 2024 State WA (’24 OL/DL) will be back to help anchor the lines on both sides of the ball. Fernando Reyes JR (’25 DL/OL) had a very big sophomore year, improving each week, he is definitely a player who coaches need to keep an eye on. Louis Chevalier Louis Chevalier 5'10" | 155 lbs | RB Enumclaw | 2025 State WA (’25 RB) and Seamus Twohey Seamus Twohey 5'9" | 185 lbs | RB Enumclaw | 2025 WA (’25 RB) are also returning to help with the workload out of the backfield.
Anacortes HS – Last Season: 9-2
Anacortes surprised quite a few people last year when they started to win games by a large amount, especially when not many people expected them to be a top team even in the NWC. The Seahawks’ one loss before the state tournament was to Lynden. They lost in the 2nd round of the state tournament by a score of 7-10 to North Kitsap. With many key playmakers returning, Anacortes will again compete with the best in the 2A class. Rex Larson Rex Larson 6'0" | 175 lbs | QB Anacortes | 2024 State WA (’24 QB) is back to lead his team once again. He will have Landon Schafer Landon Schafer 6'2" | 185 lbs | ATH Anacortes | 2024 State WA (’24 WR/DB), Brock Beaner Brock Beaner 6'1" | 185 lbs | ATH Anacortes | 2025 State WA , (’25 ATH), and Brady Beaner Brady Beaner 6'0" | 175 lbs | ATH Anacortes | 2025 State WA (’25 ATH) as his playmakers and all 3 will contribute in big ways.
Washougal HS – Last Season: 9-2
The Panthers had a great season last year, playing in a few close games. They have a very high powered offense, scoring 30-40 almost every game. They lost a week 2 game to Toppenish, then didn’t lose a game until the first round of the state tournament where Highline beat them 27-30. Holden Bea Holden Bea 6'2" | 190 lbs | QB Washougal | 2024 State WA (’24 QB), who just committed to University of Idaho, will be back again to try to lead the Panthers to the promise land. Sam Evers Sam Evers 6'2" | 180 lbs | WR Washougal | 2024 State WA (’24 WR), Jose Cruz Jose Cruz OL Washougal | 2024 State WA (’24 OL), Jacob Zipperlen Jacob Zipperlen 6'1" | 235 lbs | OL Washougal | 2025 State WA (’25 OL), and Sam McKee Sam McKee 6'1" | 230 lbs | DL Washougal | 2025 WA (’25 DL) will all be back as well and should contribute in big ways.
