Landon was a big part of this Anacortes team that took home the 2A state championship. He was a anchor on the defensive side of the ball, being able to read the quarterback quickly and have fast reactions on the field. He’s a fantastic open field tackler, wrapping up the ball carrier with ease. He’s able to play CB, DB, or even OLB given his strong 6’3” frame. Central Washington got a fantastic playmaker who is going to make a ton of impactful plays.

Good two-way prospect with length and a strong frame at 6’1” 190 lbs. Like his reactionary quickness and closing speed to break on the ball and make a play at the catch point. He plays well with his eyes and has good instincts/route recognition to anticipate and react. Flashes good short area burst to eat up space. Strong in run support, he’s an aggressive tackler that finishes to the ground and is reliable in the open field. Shows he can bring good thump when he takes good angles and plays with leverage. Impressed as a CB as a junior but projects as a college level safety given his size and skillset. Took recent visits to Montana State and Eastern Washington.

Landon is another player on Anacortes who can do it all, they have many who can fly around and play great football. He plays defensive back and wide receiver on offense. As a defensive back, he reads the quarterback well and has great footwork. He has the capability to stay alongside any offensive player in the NWC and is lengthy enough to get his arms in the catching area to get deflections. He wraps up very nicely, not allowing ball carriers past him.

Schafer is a lengthy corner who’s comfortable in both man and zone coverage. He has good footwork and keeps his hands on receivers. He’s a good tackler and plays the flats particularly well.He needs to work on his ball skills. He bats balls away and prevents catches but will see more picks by highpointing the ball. He also needs to utilize his length more by jamming and pressing receivers. On offense, his footwork makes his routes timely and he gets wide open when covered in loose zones, where his size makes him a good possession target. Schafer will look to make an impact both ways again for Anacortes in 2023.
