Ashley carries himself with confidence and has a well-built frame that allows him to impact the game on the defensive front. His frame suggests he could eventually settle in as a true defensive end with his hand in the dirt. Still, he also has the potential to develop as a stand-up edge rusher depending on how his body and athleticism progress. If that development comes, Ashley has the tools to remain one of the more intriguing defensive prospects in the 2028 class.

He caught our eye at the Concord Prospect Camp earlier this summer without having seen any game film before then, but was certainly on our radar after a productive freshman season. Ashley has since produced film, which led him to earn the #4 EDGE ranking in the 2028 class, with a bright future coming for the rising sophomore. He has the potential to grow into an every-down defensive end with his hand in the dirt with the frame he possesses. If Ashley can improve overall athleticism, he’ll have the opportunity to stick as a stand-up edge rusher as well.

He flashed at the Concord Prospect Camp and looks the part physically in person. Ashley can make strides in his athletic testing numbers as he gets more experience, but I thought he moved well in his football moves. If he continues to grow physically, Ashley is someone who could have his hand in the dirt full time with some very good early size to develop.
