Buffalo’s Grant Weaver Grant Weaver 5'11" | 160 lbs | ATH Buffalo | 2027 WV is a versatile athlete who worked out as a running back at Saturday’s camp but can move around positionally. He first came on our radar as a freshman quarterback for the Bison but was likely to move to a different skill position in the future based on his skill set as a player. Weaver saw time behind center this past season as well but fits in well at RB or DB with pass-catching potential as well. He’s a quick, balanced runner with change of direction ability and the type of athlete that you can plug and play into a variety of roles.

2027 Buffalo quarterback Grant Weaver Grant Weaver 5'11" | 160 lbs | ATH Buffalo | 2027 WV was thrust into action quicker than he or his coaches had probably planned on when the incumbent starter transferred out, but he flashed some potential in his first season of high school football. Weaver is a very athletic option at the quarterback position who’s still raw as a passer but can continue developing in that area. He can make some highlight reel throws when he’s using his scrambling ability, and if he can take the next step in his passing development he’ll be a major headache for opposing defensive coordinators. Weaver’s athleticism gives him some options positionally who could eventually move to RB/WR/DB which makes him an intriguing 2027 prospect. If he puts in the time and work over the off-season with his passing development, Weaver can solidify that QB1 spot for the next three seasons for the Bison.
