A true efficient pocket passer, Smith delivers passes at all levels with poise and some serious velocity. Grant has a great frame that he uses to get to where he wants in the pocket and use his significant arm strength to zip strikes downfield. While he excels at stepping through pressure and sending deep balls over the middle of the field, Grant also showcases the ability to roam outside the pocket and get crafty around the sideline. Smith was as productive and protective of the ball as a QB can be during his junior season, throwing for nearly 2,200 yards along with a 24/3 TD to INT ratio. The Grizz will have one of the state’s best at the helm, looking to break out to the next level in his senior year. Smith has received offers from schools such as Kansas State, App State, and Tulane.

A true pocket passer with great arm strength and command, Smith is an ideal leader of a Texas high school passing attack. With great mechanics and vision, Grant excels at scanning the field, stepping up in the pocket, and delivering a bullet downfield. He also does a splendid job of evading pressure, rolling out of the pocket, and extending plays. Smith is polished in dissecting defenses and fitting the ball into tight windows, and with the throw power to back it up. In 10 games as a junior, the 6’4 slinger passed for over 2,100 yards along with 26 total touchdowns. The Grizzlies’ QB1 should be in store for another big year as he looks to build upon an offer list that includes schools such as App State, Tulane, and Arkansas State.
