did not disappoint! League MVP and an All State HM to his name, Feeney lit up this the Pikes Peak League this fall with 1701 passing yards, 976 rushing, and 37 total TDs. A dual threat, the Durango QB runs with an aggressor mindset, like his previous RB position trying to run through defenders and running behind his pads. He’s got quick feet to duck in and out of gaps to get defenders to feint. While it helps to have

(who seems to always be open) out wide, Feeney has confidence in 3 man route concepts. Dagger and flood families are elementary for him, throwing with anticipation into holes in zone defenses hitting hole shot after hole shot, being able to layer the ball over LBs and under safeties. He is very comfortably in boots and rollouts.

Feeney had an impressive junior season, and is looking to capitalize on it into the off-season. The 5’11 180-pound QB went 105/180 for 1701 yards, 58.3% completion rate with 22 TDs, 4 INT, and 197 carries for 976 yards with 15 touchdowns. He has a very quick release with good throw power. Feeney shows an easy ball to catch with his very good touch. Feeney has good accuracy at all 3 levels. Very good ball placement skills. One thing that stood out to me was his pocket presence. He goes through his progressions, and if no one is open, he will use his very good scramble ability to get the first down. He’s an electric runner using his very good balance to consistently gain yards after contact. Feeney is an exciting young QB to watch out for.

This junior continues to be the locomotive that drives the Durango train forward. He went 10/17 for 161 yards with 58.5% completion rate with 3 TDs, 20 carries for 44 yards and 2 touchdowns. He uses his good throw power with a very good release. Good touch and timing on his throws. Very good progression speed and goes through his reads to find the open man. Good ball placement skills. He’ll throw it in stride, or above the DB’s head allowing his wide receiver to make a play on the ball. He has very good athletic ability due to very good speed, acceleration, good change of direction, and balance. Very good scramble ability and vision. He weaves through the defense, but isn’t scared of trucking through a defender. Feeney bounces off of defenders to gain extra yards as well. Great job by the junior QB.
