I’ve liked Grady for a while, and I’m surprised he hasn’t earned a little more attention in the recruiting space. From what I can see on Grady’s Twitter, he holds two offers from Hope and Adrian. Both of those programs are excellent at the D3 level, but I do think his upside is a tad higher.
I said it last Spring, but Grady truly reminds me of the current Michigan Tech QB (Rochester Alum), Alex Bueno.
I’ve seen Grady take a step up in his play every single year. This season, he’s taken another step forward. Grady is comfortable hitting his first read quickly and on-time. Additionally, he has the arm + mechanics to consistently make most throws. Finally, Grady is a good athlete with legit dual-threat upside at the next level. Again, he reminds me of Alex Bueno quite a bit.

The man to watch for West Catholic. It’s been a long time coming for the senior QB.
Every single year, Grady has improved. This season, he’s proven to be a super reliable, consistent QB. Doesn’t matter if it’s 2nd and 2 or 3rd and 15- Grady is an experienced, comfortable QB who knows how to execute the next play. He’s done a better job than ever of getting the ball out quickly, but I also think he’s improved when throwing off-schedule.
Yes, this Friday’s game against Catholic Central is massive, but I don’t think any sort of pressure is going to get to Grady- he’s ready for this.

A dude that has done nothing but improve over the past year.
I don’t think Grady’s current offers reflect his skillset. At the very least, the entire MIAA should be interested, in my opinion.
Reflecting on Grady’s Junior season, he was pretty productive. 113/184 (61.4%), 1720 yards, and 17 touchdowns. Some of his best highlights come when his first read earns separation downfield. When his first read wins, Grady is able to deliver a strike, sometimes launching the ball 40+ yards downfield. He also has his fair share of quick, accurate throws to quick slants, and other short routes. Grady also flashes some good pocket presense- something most High School QBs are awful at.
Like just about any High School QB, there are some things to nitpick. Though, fact of the matter is that I’ve seen enough of Grady to know that his skillset is on par with other high D3 – Low D2 guys I’ve evaluated in the past. Considering his consistent work ethic, I expect him to take another sizable step up this season.

Grady had a good 2024 season, but I think he could show massive improvement during his senior season. He has the tools. A good arm, developing IQ, and enough athleticism to be a very viable dual-threat at the high school level. Long story short, Grady reminds me a lot of former Rochester and current MI Tech QB, Alex Bueno.
Heading into his final season at West Catholic, I think there’s a high likelihood that the Falcons return to Ford Field.

Grady earned his stripes. For whatever reason, I wasn’t sold on Grady for the past year. I just didn’t think he had it.
Yesterday, Grady showed me that he has the skill to be a low D2 prospect. For one, Grady was one of the more consistently accurate passers. Like most QBs, Grady did his best when throwing to a stationary target when he himself was also stationary. Like playing catch. The further he had to throw, the less accurate he was.
Grady reminds me of Alex Bueno- a Class of 2023 Quarterback from Rochester who’s starting to earn playing time for Michigan Tech.
