Next up for West Catholic? Turn on Brody’s highlight tape, and it’s easy to see how he could start on Varsity next season.
This is one of the most well-rounded tapes I’ve seen from a 2029 QB. Brody’s tape includes deep balls (post/go/corner), 10-yards outs/digs, play action, and even a little RPO. This seems like a very advanced playbook for a freshman QB, and Brody has taken it in stride. He usually gets the ball out quick, has great zip on the short throws, and decent touch on the deep balls. My only two real question marks are athletic ability and overall throw power. Both should be fixed in due time.
Keep improving the IQ, rep those mechanics, and learn how to better navigate the pocket, and Brody could quickly become a very good QB in this class.

We won’t be releasing Class of 2029 Rankings for a while, but I will say, Brody will likely be on the Watch List.
Brody is way ahead of the curve when it comes to this class. Most notably, he makes the most of his current size and arm strength. He’s currently pretty small, as are the vast majority of ’29 guys. Though, Brody makes up for this with polished mechanics. He’s able to push the ball downfield, even if he needs to put a little more into it than the High School Seniors. Plus, I’m extremely impressed with how accurate Brody is, especially downfield. Like I said, Brody needs to put in a lot more effort to push it downfield, but as long as he’s able to get it there, it’s usually an accurate pass. Can’t wait to come back to this evaluation in a few years when Brody is leading the Varisty squad!
