To wrap up our top five defensive backs in the class of 2028 in the state of Kentucky, I have Gavyn Kinley Gavyn Kinley 5'9" | 155 lbs | DB/ATH Madison Central | 2028 State KY . Kinley lines up at safety where he is very dependable in pass coverage. He does a great job of reading routes and the quarterback then flowing through the secondary to put himself in a good position to make a play. When the ball is thrown in his direction, he does a great job of breaking with perfect timing to make a play on the ball, finishing this season with one interception and several pass deflections in 13 games . He has also shown the ability to come downhill in a hurry to make tackles against the run, finishing his sophomore year with 45 tackles. Kinley also scored one rushing touchdown this season. Gavyn should definitely be a player to keep an eye on as he continues to develop over the next two years.
