Expert Analysis
Matt DeBary | Prep Redzone Scout
One of the top under the radar quarterbacks across the state, Nuckolls showed this fall as a senior that he’s 100% capable of playing somewhere at the next level. He’s calm and poised in the pocket, can throw on the run, brings above-average athleticism, and shows natural playmaking ability. He was one of the more productive dual-threat quarterbacks across the state this fall, throwing for 2,567 yards and 33 touchdowns through the air while rushing for another 780 more yards with 10 more scores. He’s a so-it-all quarterback now ranked by Prep Redzone as the No. 28 QB prospect in Georgia according to the latest updated rankings.

Arguably the greatest Northwest QB of all time, as there have been many people who believe he can lead this Bruins team in a deep run. If that was to be the case the Bruins will need a little bit of help from their skill positions. They will be tasked with playing a tough North Oconee team, which is a team that Northwest could struggle against, but also could defeat without a doubt. Northwest is at its best when Nuckolls can scramble, but his compuser will be key. Nuckolls has never failed to be composed in a game, and I don’t believe that will be a factor in round one.

This kid continues to impress me. He is someone who has a healthy mix of passing traits, but I love the way he runs with the football in his hands. You have to spy him if you are a D-Coordinator, but as soon as you do that, the Bruins will dial up a pass play. Nuckolls is someone who has improved every year under Coach Josh Robinson, and I believe he will continue in the month of October.

Another highly under rated QB from our coverage Area. Nuckolls continues to put up big numbers and Friday was no exception. He completed 17 of 27 passes for 253 yards and rushed 17 times for 213 yards with 5 total TDs in a 62-42 win over Dalton.
The 6’0 170 Senior shows great poise and can make all the throws on the route tree with legs to hurt you. He has offers from East Kentucky, Point University, and Heidelberg University.

#5
The 6’0 170 dual threat QB had an outstanding Junior season accounting for over 1800 yards with 27 TDs. Nuckolls has outstanding mechanics and delivers the ball on a rope. Does a great job reading the defense and has deceptive speed when he pulls the down to run. A natural at the position that almost makes the game look effortless. Was named to the GACA Junior All Star Team last Fall.
Offers/Outlook
Nuckolls picked up an offer from Eastern Kentucky early in his high school career and has received interest from several FCS programs since. QB is a tough position when it comes to recruiting but Nuckolls has the ability to make an impact at the next level.
