Edwards had a phenomenal performance in the game on Friday, as he finished the contest with five touchdowns, and was only recorded with one incompletion. A performance like that can beat any team in the state, and he was easily one of the better players with a stat line like that. I believe he can have another very bright performance, and a stat line like that shows that he is someone who can hang even with a smaller frame. I look for him to need to push the ball through some tighter windows in this one, but it will be nice to gauge how he does in arguably the biggest game of the division.

A dynamic dual-threat quarterback and one of the top overall athletes in the region, Edwards is a promising passer and an outstanding runner when he takes off. He has raw arm talent and can make plays there, but he’s a dangerous runner when he makes with his legs. The Troup quarterback ran for 634 yards and seven touchdowns on the ground, hitting the 100-yard mark three times. He should have an even bigger 2025 season next fall as a senior. He earned an offer from Murray State this week and could see more come his way this summer.
