About Gabe

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I'm a physical, well disciplined athlete who plays fast, aggressive, and versatile. I focus on doing my job on every snap, always giving maximum effort.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I'm a fun outgoing guy when off the field, but during the game I stay calm and aggressive at the same time while still having fun.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I'm currently involved in FFA for a school club and I'm also a part of Godteens, a highschool youth group that's a part of St. Mary's Catholic Church.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I've developed my leadership skills both on and off the field by holding my teammates accountable as well as myself. I strive to be a great teammate by treating my teammates with respect and having great communication. I value giving back to the community who has helped me be the person I am today, whether it's through helping others around town or volunteer when help is needed.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Halfway through my sophomore season, I tore my labrum. Unaware of the extremity of the tear, I got a brace and continued to play. After the season was done I got my shoulder checked out and had surgery. The tear ended up being more extreme then the MRI showed and I ended up having 10 anchors put in and a suture for my bicep. Making the decision to keep playing was my choice, and it was a good one.

What type of college are you looking for?

I'm mainly looking for a college with a great Criminal Justice department because that's what I want to major in. Also, a college with a great sports environment and program.
