Stats: 10 Tackles, 1.5 TFLs

Finley is back for his senior season and another year holding down an LB spot for Wisconsin Lutheran. While he may not have next level LB size, Finley has a place on defense for him somewhere. He shines on Friday nights with his agility and acceleration allowing him to knife through the front seven untouched. The senior LB is so quick to read and react and meet the ball right near the line of scrimmage. His highlights from the week are loaded up with examples of OL or TEs whiffing on blocking him because of how sudden he can move and avoid. Don’t sleep on the senior chess piece.

The junior out of Wisconsin Lutheran is a S/LB hybrid. Checking in at 5’9″ 160 lbs, Finley is obviously undersized for an LB but that didn’t slow him down this season where he had 85 tackles and an insane 20 TFLs. At the showcase Finley was able to show how he created so much in-season success. The ’26 does a great job playing in space, has the ability to accelerate quickly, and can stop and change direction or change his path while on the move rather easily. Finley proved to be a defender that offenses have to account for.

Stats: 8 Tackles, 3 TFLs

Finley just hit my radar, so we went to the film right away to see what he has to offer. The 5’10” 180 lbs athlete doesn’t have the frame for the LB position necessarily, but he plays the game like an LB. Finley is a heat seeking missile on the field who seems to always find a way to get to the ball. However, the junior does it while not abandoning his assigned too early. You see him maintain his gap while also working towards the ball, and the junior has a nice closing burst to deliver a pop. Working through traffic, Finley has shown he can avoid block and turn or cut on a dime to chase down RBs on plays designed to go away from him. Give his film a watch.
