Making an appearance on the Surprise Standouts of Class 5A, Felix Annan Felix Annan Felix Annan 5'11" | 180 lbs | RB Waterloo West | 2026 State IA has burst onto the scene this season as one of the top running backs in the state’s largest class.

On the ground against the Cougars, Annan kept chugging away and showed why he’s been amongst the most productive backs in 5A this season. A shifty runner that uses his lateral quickness to make would-be tacklers miss, Annan sheds off tacklers with ease. The workhorse back for the WaHawks, Annan took 25 carries for 124 yards in Cedar Rapids on Friday.

Without taking a single carry during his junior campaign, Felix Annan Felix Annan Felix Annan 5'11" | 180 lbs | RB Waterloo West | 2026 State IA registered just 3.5 tackles on defense to go with one punt for 30 yards. Annan has basically come out of nowhere for Waterloo West this fall.

Leading his team with 107 carries for 739 yards and six touchdowns on the ground through six games, Annan has gone from middle-to-bottom of the depth chart to now being the third-leading rusher in all of 5A. That, and he’s been consistently productive with the ball in his hands, averaging 6.9 yards per carry or the WaHawks.
