Akih may be one of the most explosive runners I have seen from the class of 2026 from the snap of the ball. In addition to his explosiveness, he possesses remarkable top-end speed, recording a 4.43 in the 40-yard dash. He demonstrates good physicality when facing contact and can push with his arms to create space effectively. While he isn’t used out wide as a receiver, he can be very beneficial for quarterbacks under duress as he excels at remaining available as a checkdown option and can make plays out of seemingly nothing in that role. I am eager to see what 2025 brings for Akih as he aims to elevate his status not just in our state but nationally as one of the top running back prospects.

Akih is another player who blew up on the P4 recruiting scene in his junior season. It’s been an active couple of recruiting months as Akih has picked up offers from West Virginia, Michigan State, and Penn State.

Standing at 6’0 190 pounds, Favour is an interesting blend of speed and power. Between the tackles he’s explosive in hitting the hole and carries out that momentum through any and all contact. He shows a nice jump cut that uses at the second level to make guys miss, while maintaining his speed.

I expect Akih will be very much in demand this offseason and as he gets onto campuses and in front of coaches, he has the measurables and traits to turn into a big-time running back recruit nationally.

Akih has really came alive this season and is earning multiple Power 4 offers. The 6-foot, 190-pound prospect has 1,653 yards and 15 total touchdowns. He has excellent balance and runs over defenders like a bowling ball. He is a strong inside running back who has enough juice to go the distance if he finds an opening.
