We are a fan of Evan here at Prep Redzone WI. His skill set fits perfectly into the design of the Neenah offense. The 5’1″ 175 lbs QB/ATH is a smart, quick decision maker with the ball in his hands. He knows when to give the ball or pitch it and is able to bait defenders into putting themselves into bad positions. When the senior keeps the ball himself, Evan is explosive in short areas. We saw him able to pick his way through a lot of traffic last night and make defenders miss in those tight quarters. Evan also proved to be a slippery tackle. He was able to slip away from arm tackles multiple times on the way to his 78 rushing yards and 1 TD Friday night.

Stats: 9/13, 65 Yards, 21 Carries, 72 YardsrnI was hoping that Evan would be back on the field this week, and we got what we wanted. The junior QB is definitely a next level athlete. It may not be at QB, but he can definitely play. Evan was at his best on the ground Friday night. His instincts with the ball in his hands are natural. He reads and reacts to lanes, blocks, and defenders in an instant and makes them miss with his explosive agility and burst. The 5’11” 165 lbs QB did a surprisingly good job of playing physical too. He bounced off some big time hits, and kept moving forward. As the game went on Evan got better and better. He nearly ended the game with a drive that consumed almost the entire 4th quarter because he just kept grinding out yards and first downs. Definitely have this explosive junior on your radars.

An athlete who is going to shred apart defenses for the next couple seasons is the athlete at QB for Neenah HS. The 5’11” 165 lbs dual threat QB dominates with his legs. As a sophomore, he rushed for over 1,100 yards while leading his young team deep into the playoffs. Evan is utilized in a lot of read options and his quick, correct decision making has been the source of his big plays. After the read, Evan has the next level acceleration to burst through running lanes. With the ball, Evan shows the skill set of an RB. He has the vision and instincts to find the weaknesses of the defense. He also has surprising contact balance. You will see him play through a lot of contact. I’m looking forward to his development as a passer this season, but either way Evan has next level athleticism. Big seasons are ahead for the Neenah underclassman.
