Watkins handled duties at quarterback and delivered with confidence, but his upside as an all-around athlete might be what stands out most after impressing at receiver in the past as well. Watkins stayed consistent from game to game, competing with a steady edge and making plays wherever he lined up. On defense, Watkins stepped in at corner and did his job, locking in and holding his own against quality competition. What really separates Watkins is that he even jumped up and took reps with the 14U group at quarterback, and didn’t look out of place. Watkins is a gamer through and through, and a young prospect with a lot to be excited about.

Listed as a QB on our site, but 2031 ATH Elijah Watkins Elijah Watkins 5'5" | 130 lbs | QB TN had a tremendous performance at receiver in the games that we could catch for the Middle TN Elite Bombers. Watkins was one of the top receivers of the day in our eyes and has a bright future at that position if he elects to focus there at the high school level without seeing his QB tape. He flashed excellent hands and ball skills, and seemingly caught everything thrown his way when watching him, and looks the ball in well. Watkins also did a great job of finding space and holes in the defense for his quarterback to find him often.
