Eli Roper Eli Roper 6'4" | 235 lbs | TE/DL Har-Ber | 2029 State AR is a rising prospect in Arkansas. He already possesses the size to be successful at the next level. We’ve already discussed his receiving ability, but he’s also a solid run blocker as well. Roper is utilized as a blocker at the H-Back position or out wide, creating leverage and driving out playside defenders in the screen game. He’s also physical off the defensive line.

He’s a threat in the short-to-intermediate game, utilizing his ability to find voids against zone effectively. Roper may not be the most athletic, but he’s sure-handed, can break tackles post-catch, and can block near the boundary.

Roper attended both the Arkansas-Monticello camp and the All-Arkansas camp, where he was winning tons of reps. He displayed the ability to create separation on his breaks, along with hand-eye coordination and the ability to high-point the football when needed. Keep an eye on him.

He displays good contact balance and leg drive to break through tackles. At tight end, he showcases his route running, attacking the short-to-intermediate effectively.
