The Wheaton North product impressed in a variety of ways in his first varsity season. The class of 2025 Jung weighs in at 205 lbs and stands at 5’11. Jung has a nose for the football. He can fight through the wash with ease to meet the ball carry at the point of attack. Jung is a physical player in both block shedding and tackling. He also impresses in pass coverage. Whether it’s re-routing wide receivers or peeling off of blocks to make an open field tackle, Jung’s physicality translates to all facets of playing linebacker. He was also a varsity contributor in 2022 and displayed lateral agility and the control to start/stop and match step ball carriers while pursuing across the LOS and upfield. He can also get up and under blocking attempts and has the strength to play through contact, shows some pop at the contact point both when attacking blocks and as a tackler, and was a physical ball carrier as both a RB and returner. Strong kid, good tackler, and checks the needed boxes in the physicality department. He’s guaranteed to make it on the rankings come the next update and set a very good foundation of experience and production going into his upperclassman campaign.
